TAKE FLIGHT

A man walks up a stairway leading up to LRT 1's Doroteo Jose station along Rizal Avenue in Manila. A new overhead walkway is now under construction that will connect the LRT 2's existing overpass (along the stretch of Doroteo Jose street) directly to the LRT 1 Doroteo Jose station, making it unnecessary for LRT passengers to cross the busy street below.

I was really surprised that the LRT management decided to make an overhead walkway ala the walkway connecting LRT 1's EDSA station and MRT's Taft station. It could be because of dire need of passengers to be transported smoothly from one train to the other or because the area is poorly lit and infamous for holduppers, whichever is more logical at the time.
